HAZMART Management & Operations

MSES provides technical and regulatory assistance to conduct and compile detailed hazardous materials inventories and management including woodshop, support areas, boiler rooms, carpentry, print shops, hazardous materials warehouses, mechanical rooms, operations & maintenance areas, hazardous materials distribution sectors, and other hazardous materials accumulation points.

Hazardous material inventories are entered in the Chemical Classification System (CCS) software to track quantity on hand, purchase date, shelf life, location, manufacturer, type of container, usage patterns, purchase requirements, and disposal. This software allows our personnel to make recommendations for removal of hazardous materials no longer in use and to update the database.

In addition, our services include:

  • Using CCS software to conduct periodic inventories of hazardous materials at science laboratories, warehouses and storage areas for tracking of purchase date, shelf life, inventory control and identification of off-specification hazardous materials
  • On going maintenance of compliance, safety and health programs including training
  • Hazardous materials reporting and tracking report preparation
  • Obtaining Material Safety Data Sheets for hazardous material present in inventory
